Hi Ramesh,

To put in layman´´s terms ST06 is OS monitor,ST03 is Workload Monitor(ST03n is better). For more information on SAP performace monitoring visit these links:

https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/developerareas/monitoring?rid=/webcontent/uuid/5fe68189-0901-0010-0d...

https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/developerareas/platform

Profile Parameters can be changed at OS level. A lot od admins do that. But without proper knowledge if you do this and screw up the profiles you end with a defunct system. Doing profile parameter changes through RZ11/RZ10 is lot more convinient.

For deleting client at OS level use this link:

http://www.sap-img.com/basis/proper-way-to-delete-a-sap-client.htm.

Please award points for useful info.

Regards.

Hi Ramesh,

ST06 -- > We need to see the CPU utilisation time especially IDLE TIME. and also load average, operaing system collector is running or not, comparing the memory, swap etc... between the servers. and also to know the Hardware info of the syatem and also the database performance etc..

ST03 ---> click on the expert mode --> click on the total button in the Today's workload and select the day to which you would like to see all the response times.

Basically ST03 helps you analysing the response time .

It is not recommended to change the profile parameters at OS level bcos

Example: the no of dialog work process parameter rdisp/wp_no_dia raised to 100 , the system will accept at OS level as it counts as only number but if you change at SAP level it doesn't allow bcos the SAP system will check the memory size and if space doesn't enough to allocate the memory for 100 work processes the system unable to start.

To remove the client at OS level:

Syntax: delete from sap<sid>.T000 where MANDT='100'.
