What is the full from of HALB(semi-finished) & FERT(finished) ?
Anirban,
SAP programmers use abbreviations for the names of many objects.
The original developers were German, and so the words they abbreviated were German words. I have never seen an 'Official' list released by SAP, but some of my German colleagues tell me their opinion is that FERT probably is short for Fertigerzeugnissen and HALB is probably short for Halbfabrikaten.

Hi Anirban,
FERT and HALB are keys to identify material types finished or semi finished respectively, don't think there is any full form available.
