SolMan 7.1 and Solution Manager Key

I'm installing SAP ERP 6.0 SR 3. We have already installed Solman 7.1.

Now I need to create "Solution Manager Key".

How can I generate keys in Solman 7.1 ?

It seems, that steps for older SolMan aren't valid for version 7.1 (I cant find Menu Item "System--->Other Configuration")

Steps for SolMan 7.0:

Create a system by right clicking on System entry and select Create new system.

Enter the System Name i.e., SID (3 chars)

Product = SAP ECC (select from the list)

Product Version= ECC 5.0 (select from the list)

Save the entries.

Select Menu Item "System--->Other Configuration" and enter the SID which you have created earlier.

Enter the Server Name(hostname)

Finally click on Generate "Installation/Upgrade Key Button "

Hello Mitja,

For the solution manager key really you don't need to get connected the system, the only pre-requite is that you need to select on "product system" that exist on solution manager, like you own solution manager.

Follow that steps:

1.- Open trasaction SMSY

2.- Click on "select objects" ( If you get the LMDB message just, close the window and open again )

3.- Insert your solution manager ID on "product system"

4.- Click on "Generate Instalattion/Upgrade Key"

5.- Once here, you can generate a key for any system ID
