Database connection to a Oracle DB on a HANA System

Hi,

i need to create a db-connection to a oracle db in our BW System (running on HDB)

Testing the connection throws this error:

- ERROR Database connection ORA-ID: ADBC error Internal error

16  has occured

Is it nessary to install a oracle client on the hana server?

Hi Andre,

Like any BW system connecting to Oracle (irrespective of HANA or not), you need to have Oracle client installed on the BW application server.
