Mark relevant instance to include the software component BI_CONT 703 in SMSY/LMDB

Hi,

in a NetWeaver 7.00 system based on ABAP+JAVA I've got a problem during MOPZ calculation to upgrade to 7.31. The problems the error message:

Mark relevant instance to include the software component BI_CONT 703 in SMSY/LMDB

As you can see below BI_CONT is already installaed but how can I mark as relevant?

Have you got and advice?

Hi

Check the definition of your system in solution manager. You have to make sure all relevant usage types are checked "Relevant" .  See below.

It is already relevant for:

Application Server ABAP

Application Server Java

BI Java

Business Explorer (BI)

What kind of "Prod. Instance" do we need for BI_CONT 703? It is a BW usage only system.

If, in MOPZ, I select 7.30 as target release and not 7.31 it works fine... why?

Please check if there is an upgrade path available from 7.0 to 7.31 . Master guide should help you with that.

Can you send a screenshot from SMSY? You should define a SAP NETWEAVER system of version 7.0 with the Product Instance Business Intelligence flagged as Relevant (or Also Installed). This will include BI_CONT in the stack definition.
