Hi

Solution Manager 7.1.

The user SMDAGENT_SID is the system type user and it is used by SMD agent to logon to ABAP to managed system to read workload data to IS host adaptor (Wily).

But recently we had changed password of this user and we had updated the password in Managed system setup as well.

But the user SMDAGENT_SID is locking frequently (10 min) in XI system and we are getting 5000 dumps (ST22) in managed system.

Could you please help to know, who is locking the user. Is there any posibility to find out all areas covered by this user.

Many Thanks In Advance !

Best Regards,

Upendra

We had this problem recently.  The password for SMDAGENT_SID had been misplaced, so it was decided to reset the password, using CUA, as per the solution manager security guide.  The guide also says to repeat the Wily Host Setup after doing this.  However, as soon as the agents restarted, the user SMDAGENT_SID started locking all the time in the satellite system.  No amount of password-resetting or repeating the Wily Host setup helped.  In the end, the problem was solved like this:

It is possible to modify username and password directly.

1) Launch the SMDAgent Administration and navigate to tab "Applications

Configuration" -> application com.sap.smd.agent.application.wilyhost

2) Select the appropriate SMDAgent.

3) You should see now the properties "jco.client.user..." and

"jco.client.passwd...". Update the user and password. (use SMDAGENT_<SID>)

4) Repeat the managed setup wizard for the managed system

with the SMDAGENT_<SID> user.

5).  Unlock the user and restart the agents

Hi,

Can you please attach the Dump you are getting.

As well as please check the places where SMDAGENT_SID login details are maintained. It seems that either user login details are not maintained correct.

Please check the below link. It might be helpful.
