Monitoring e-mail notifications for yellow/red alerts

We use Solution Manager 7.1 SP06. We start implementing technical monitoring.

How is it possible to customize e-mail notifications in that way that yellow and red alerts are send to different recipients (-lists) ?

How is it possible to supress yellow alert mails?

Hi Jochen,

When you setup a (custom) template in Technical Monitoring under SAP Solution Manager configuration.

You can set the need for an email per alert.

Also you can specify different groups/persons for every alert.

You can specify these options in the Notifications and Alerts tabs.

Not that I'm aware of....

However, a possibility to bypass this, and to get it the way you have in mind right now could be:

In stead of using the already specified metrics you could create custom ones for the alerts you want to seperate into yellow and red alerts to different recipients.

Let's say you name them: metric_1_yellow and metric_1_red

Only specify yellow alerts for the first one and only specify red alerts for the second one.

Next you can assign a custom (group) of recipients.

It seems like a lot of work though......

Yes Kroone, this seems to be the only possiblity currently in solman. But when we speficy yellow threshhold and we still have to specify red threshhold also. In this case what will be use of two metrics.
