SRM Shopping cart error-The ASSERT condition was violated.

Hi Expert,

I am working in SRM 7.1,i implemented SRM-MDM catalog it is connected in ECC system,but when i connected the same in SRM system then checking in Portal under Tab ->Employee Self Service -> Go Shopping then I am facing an issue in the - "The ASSERT condition was violated"

• The following error text was processed in system SRD : The ASSERT
  condition was violated.
• The error occurred on the application server AG-SDQ_SRD_00 and in the work
  process 9 .
• The termination type was: RABAX_STATE
• The ABAP call stack was:

Hello,

you just have to read log...

DUMP occurs in /SAPSRM/IF_PDO_SO_CATLGSEARCH~INITIALISE_WS method.

It seems you have Business Function linked to ESS activated, but in Portal, your SRM user with SRM role does not have corresponding EhP1 Portal role

Please find the attachment of Portal role,is there any further requirement of Roles?

i am facing the same problem,even i have activated Service-

SRM_SELF_SERVICE_1 in SRM.

Hi Saurabh,

If you still facing the issue, try this:

Option 1: Remove the EHP1 ESS role and assign /SAPSRM/EMPLOYEE (and similar role in portal) and try. This option activates the Wizard Shopping  cart for the employee ( 4 step shopping)

(or )

Option 2: Keep the EHP1 ESS role and activate the "Simplified Shopping Cart" under "IMG-->SRM-->SRM SERVER -->Cross-Application Basic Settings -->Self-Service Procurement --> Activate/Deactivate Simplified Shopping Cart.

This option activates the Simplifies shopping cart for the employee.
