centralised SLD installation and configuration

Hi Folks,

I have  built pi development system (pi7.31), pi quality system and pi  pre - prod systems with local SLD. Now, i have to install central SLD for pi production system.Let me know how to install the central SLD.Additionally, how to  move the system details from local sld to central sld in future.

While building pi7.3ehp1, will i have the option to install central SLD   ?and what precautions i have to take while building the central SLD in PI production box.Kindly provide me your valuable inputs and feedbacks

system details:pi7.31(abap+java),oracle11gr2,SunOS5.10

Hi Rama,

You can achieve the above scenario but you need to know the following things.

1. The SLD content synchronization is fully supported by AS Java 7.1 and above

2. SLD of version 7.0 SP12 and above can be used as source system for unidirectional synchronization only because it supports unidirctional data transfer.

3. SLD of version of 7.0 do not support unidirctional and bidirectional data support.

It means we can transfer data from local SLD to Central SLD if we have central SLD with 7.1 and above.

Another feature in SLD 7.1 and above is data syncronisatin is bidirectional between the systems.

Where as in SLD 7.0 lower than SP12 , only method to transfer the is through export and iimport where as in SLD 7.0 SP12 and Higher data transfer is only unidirctional.

PS : CIM Model and CR Content should at sam level

Hi Ram,

If you want to install central SLD , download the SAP Netweaver 7.3 only the java component.

and perform the SLD syncronisation over there.

Or you can configure the production SLD as central SLD and make the development SLD as source system SLD.
