Database upgrade

Hi, May I please know what usually are the functional checks need to be carried out as we upgrade the Oracle database for APO? Is there any note on this which I can refer?

We finally ended up with the below checks:

1. LC connection is good?
2. SMQR/SMQS settings are fine?
3. Stuck Queues are cleared from CQ?
4. CTM/optimization server connection test is successful?
5. Data in the planning books looks fine [non-zero values seen] – data is not lost?
6. Sample consistency check was carried out, things look ok?

Hi Guru Charan,

We upgraded Database and found many issues like-

1. Data loading steps got struck.

2.Process chains taking long time after Go Live.

3. Interface issues (SM59)

4. We sent some data to other system through excel sheet but it created excel with zero byte (0 records)

5.Status of steps in process chains were not updated in some tables and hence next step was not executed automatically.

We performed the testing at initial stage but data volume was less and hence could not identified some of the issues.

My suggestion is that you should run whole cycle of all your functional activities with full data volume.
