Optimizer PDS priority

Dear Friends,

Working on SCM 7.1

This is regarding the PDS priority in optimizer. We are using Discrete and Linear optimizer to cater the business requirement , but facing issue of PDS Equal priority when the capacity is full .

For example if there are 2 SKUs exist under one resource, we kept the same PDS cost and runrate and same ND penalty cost for both SKUs.Depends upon the order quantity optimizer decides the priority of the SKU and it will plan the planned order. In this case if the capacity is available after planning one SKU then optimizer will plan 2nd SKUs planned order AND if the capacity is full for 1st SKU then it will not plan planned order of 2nd SKU.Thjs is standard behavior of optimizer.

Is there any way to give equal priority for both SKUs even the capacity is full , i mean optimizer should plan planned orders of Both SKUs by giving equal priority.

Regards,

Rajesh Patil

We have had similar issues with both SNP Heuristic and SNP optimizer trying to keep relative quantities of products equal. What we have ended up with, (after testing SNP optimizer, but finding nothing useful in this area), is running the SNP Heuristic and then capacity leveling with our own custom macro that uses the bottom subscreen in the SNP capacity leveling book and uses macros to manually re-enter proportianal values into each material - having opened up the "view all materials" levels and so running macros down at the material level.

I could not find any other way to keep the relative values between materials the same.
