how to start and stop hana database with SAP HANA Studio

Hi all

We use the SAP HANA Studio(sps04 v35).

We know how to start and stop hana database with  command on HANA database .

Please tell me how to start and stop hana database with HANA Studio.

We read the SAP HANA Administration Guide.

Just found about start/stop the system and database services.

In addition to the above, ensure that SAP logon information in the SAP Hana Studio has the <sid>adm credentials maintained for respective systems.

Else you wont be able to perform maintenance activities like Start/Stop & Backup/Recovery operations.

Would you like tell us about the <sid>adm credentials.

We want to start/stop Backup/Recovery operations.

but in the HANA Studio, We can not find the user <sid>adm.

We have user "SYS","SYSTEM","_SYS_REPO","_SYS_STATISTICS".

In the HANA database(linux),

We have the user<sid>adm.it is not in the HAHA Studio.

we installed the HANA Studio in the another server(windows 2008 r2).

So would you like tell us whether if  we just logon the windows2008 r2 with Adminitrator user,we will be able to start/stop Backup/Recovery operations,and not to mind the HANA Stuido users is what.

Akihiro,

In SAP Hana Studio, From the Administrator perspective go to the context menu of the particular SAP Hana instance by right clicking on its entry and select properties.

Properties window for this instance will come up. In this you can find the entry SAP System Logon on the left side.

Click on this and enter the <sid>adm credentials in the username and password in the fields appearing on to the right side of the screen

Hi Akihiro,

First of all start HANA Studio and open administrative console.You can open it from

Window -> Open -> Perspective -> Administration Console.

If you want to start and stop database, select it in navigator, right click and start or stop.
