Forecast profile assignment in interactive planning

Hello Experts.

We are having an issue with forecast profile assignment to any data set selected interactively to run Statistical Forecasting in Demand Planning. When we

- Load say Product X  in interactive planning and go to Settings --> Select forecast profile --> then change the Master fcst profile from MFP_01 to MFP_02 and then select the radio button - save assignment of selectin of fcst prof and then adopt it.

- Run the stat fcst, save the results and log out the planning book

- Re- launch the planning book and try to run the forecast again, it defaults to MFP_01 and also it defaults to the 3rd option in the popup window for "Maintain Settings for Forecast Profiles" that is - "Do not save assignment and forecast profile "

Ideally it should default to MFP_02 since this was the last assignment made and also the 1st radio option of "Save assignment of selection for forecast profile"

Any ideas of what might be the issue here ? Is this a security issue?

Here are the steps:

1) System Menu --> User profile --> Own Data

2) Look for parameters tab and add the following:

/SAPAPO/FCST_GUIDS and parameter value = X

3) Go to Interactive Demand Planning --> Settings --> Forecast Profile --> Assignments --> "Save assignment with unique forecast profile".

Hi Carlos,

Can you please check if you are getting your entries saved in /sapapo/msdp_fcst2.

Once you change the forecast profile settings in interactive planning book with the first option "save assignment of selection " and when you run the statistical forecast.

You should be able to see your forecast profile assignment for your selection here.

Hi Arihant, you must have a selection id for your selection so that forecast profile could be assigned to the selecation. You can check transaction /sapapo/sdp_sel to see if there's selection id generated for your selection. Not all selection can be assigned a selection id. Basically the rule is that the selection condition must be unique. Please also check note 329707.
