Function does not fit into the existing function group

Hello

During import of support package stack SP08 on an new BI7.3 I am facing test import problem:

Function DB_EXPLAIN_PLAN (SYDB_EXPLAIN 01) does not fit into the existing function group ((SYDB 09))

In the initial phase note " 0001680583 Field names for tables and views with more than 16 char." was asked to be implemented. However status for this note was "Cannot be implemented"

I set status to "finished" and then I was able to continue with SPAM

How would you overcome this issue.

Hi

Even if the SAP note is part of the SP08 which you are trying to apply , for your next system you should implement this note before you begin your SP upgrade. This will prevent the error.

Once you have started your SP upgrade it will be difficult to import any transports or apply notes via snote because the queue is already defined .
