Hello experts,

I am trying to define the number ranges for document numbers as follows:

010000000000000NS000000000000000000NSZZZZZ
020000000000000010000100000000000000ZZZZZZ
030000000000001100000000000000000011999999
040000000000001200000000000000000012999999
050000000000001300000000000000000013999999
060000000000001400000000000000000014999999

I have a document type ZNS with external number range 01.

If I try to create a document with number NS12345 system says: Document number NS12345 is not within external number range 01.

I do not know the reason of the error.

Can anybody help me?

Hi Laura,

unfortunately I'm not the number range expert but I hope that the information at http://help.sap.com/erp2005_ehp_06/helpdata/en/48/d58f50982b424be10000000a421937/content.htm?framese... could be useful for you to setup your number ranges correctly.

Maybe you can try to remove the leading zeroes because for external number ranges this is not necessary. I tried in an internal test system with range:

NS00000NSZZZZZ

and it worked fine.

Best regards,

Christoph

The problem were the leading zeros. Now it works correctly.

Thanks!

Dear experts,

I have the following problem:for
three document types I use number range 01.In 2013 document numbering should
continue from the last document number in 2012,not start from the beggining. But one
document was posted in 2013,before I change
the number of the first document in FBN1 in 2013 and now I cannot do
anything.

01     2012   0060000001   0069999999   60000363

01     2013   0060000001   0069999999   60000001

What
should I do?
I
want the numer range to look like this:

01     2012   0060000001   0069999999   60000363

01     2013   0060000364   0069999999

Thank you!

Dear Mariya,

Please post new discussion for asking questions.

Soln: number range is to create from user exit which will is avaialble in DC10 with the help of ABAPer.

The user exit will pick date/docment type/from system with running number.
