Importance of fleet management

Hi all,

In PM we have option of fleet management.....I have to prepare a document and then configure the system...... in document I have to mention the benefits of using SAP fleet management.....I am searching for the points ,if you experts could also help me with some points I will be very thankful to you.

Some of the points:

1. Daily monitoring of Distance traveled by vehicle
2. Daily consumption of fuel by vehicle
3. Average Distance & Fuel consumption over the period
4. Fuel Consumption / KM covered or based on daily activity
5. Performance Based Maintenance of vehicles

we can get the following

Vehicles fuel consumption,Distance coverage like the above said

but another important is we can track down the vehicle

avalibility & we can plan better for maintainance etc.

Consider before:

The number of vehicles justifies a control through a complex computerized system?

The information that the system offers (standard) are the ones you need or developments will be needed?

There will be users involved and consequently licensing SAP.

Data entry (distance traveled, fuel consumption..) will be manual?

Can you first tell me what are standard information system can provide ,except the reports which comes from SAP 1  t code and  can the data entry ( distance traveled, fuel consumption) be automatic in sap.

By having IFCU (Fuel Consumption) configuration in place, you can automatic the goods issue of fuel per vehicle. It will generate the Goods Issue & Measurement documents for Fuel and Distance measurement documents.

Fleet Management is used to map vehicle in system and measure it's performance.

Fleet management have functionality to monitor Fuel consumption, Vehicle average,efficiency of vehicle.

You can also use the fleet object as a reference object for maintenance or service tasks.
