Default storage location by lab office

Hi Gurus-

We have configuration to default the storage location by user Profile set up.  However, we would like to have the user profile selected based on the lab office that is entered in the DIR instead of the role assigned to the user.  Is that possible?

Hi Jennifer,

unfortunately Amaresh is right. A pre-selection of the storage category due to Lab/Office settings is not possible in the standard.

From my point of view the BADI DOCUMENT_STORAGE01 could be useful here. You can mabye use method BEFORE_LIST_STORAGECAT to filter the available storage categories on basis of Lab/Office values or user parameters.

Thanks for the additional idea, Christoph! 

Looking at the parameters passed into method BEFORE_LIST_STORAGECAT, only the doc type and storage category list are availale.  Any ideas how I could read the lab office field in there?  (We have the lab office fields as a required field.  So, it would have to be populated to perform the check in.)
