Assignment UI question

Hi Experts,

When assigning a Role or Privilege is it possible to not display the Valid From / Valid To / Reason window?  Using 7.2 on Oracle.

That should be possible using the new "Assignment Request" task which asks the user in a wizard like ("Guided Task" in SAP speak) manner for the information. I didn't try this out but seems to be possible judging the options in the GUI.....

Thanks, I thought of that, but I was hoping to be able to do this in any screen using MXREF_MX_ROLE/PRIVILEGE.

I guess I'll have to go into it though!

I believe it is in the Extended Attribute pop-up on the Entry Type tab on the attribute. I had the same issue in the opposite direction, I needed the validity box to show up.

Not sure I know where you are talking about.  Is this in SP5?

This is what it looks like when it is set up to pop-up. If reason is set to "No" and the checkboxes are unchecked, I believe it will skip it.

And we're still on SP4

Now that I know that, I went to confirm and we didn't want to make the change, but I've always wanted to know how to do that anyway.

Hold off on upgrades, I hear SP 7 will be here soon!
