After that we clicked on 11g setup icon we are getting the following error. Why cmd prompt was disappearing immediately. Shall we need to do any settings at os(Windows) level.

SAP: NW 7.3

DB:  Oracle 11G

OS:  Windows Server2008 R2

Please suggest..

Hi Maruthi,

Please check the below sapnote

Note 1486772 - SAP Systems on Windows Server 2008 R2

As it is for oracle 10g but you can follow the steps of oracle system.

you can try with this command as well

cmd /k <directory>:\NW 7.3\51042334\database\SAP\sapserver.cmd in run.

Moreever don't give any spaces between the folder names on windows. such as NW 7.3 should be NW7.3.

Don't use spaces between the folders name on windows.

With Regards

Hi,

It seems that the download is corrupted. The total size of the file which SHOULD BE is LESSER THAN the actual present value.. In short, the actual size of the file that should be is not in the disk.. It seems to be a checkup error.

Please see the below link.

https://kr.forums.oracle.com/forums/thread.jspa?threadID=580972

Please download another time and check whether it works and provide your feedback.

Thanks and Regards,

Hi Maruthi,

Please try to start the Oracle Universal installer from below path.

\database\SAP\sapserver.cmd.

If it is giving any error or disappearing the cmd window, check you are using the proper user for installation. Also check the program might be running already in taskmanager (you cal also kill the program by task manager), so that logoff and login again or try with restart.

Thanks

Hi,

Additionally please check if the downloaded software is not corrupted.

Perhaps could try downloading the software again.

CRC Check error is not a good sign...

Cyclic Redundancy Check test the data integrity, a failure most likely means data corruption or media failure.

I suggest you to download the software again.

Hello

According to Oracle:

Cause

The "invalid CRC" error seems to indicate a bad file or bad extraction.

Solution

Download and install OBI 11G again, and also review the following additional steps.

1) Download the file again and ensure that the downloaded file size matches the file size expected.

If the file is not the expected size, you may want to try temporarily disabling anti-virus software or downloading on a UNIX machine first.

2) If you download on a UNIX machine, ensure that you FTP the file over to the Windows machine in BINARY mode.

3) Try extracting / unzipping the software using a different unzip utility from WinZip.

( for example: try 7-zip ).

4) When extracting, ensure that you have enough space to extract and also ensure that you have adequate temporary space. For the temporary space directory on Windows, review the environment variables TEMP and TMP.

5) Ensure that the Windows user has full Administration privileges.

Cheers
