Hello,

I'm installing Solman 7.0 EHP1 on 64bit Oracle Linux 6.3 and I'm getting following error at phase 36:

EhP1 > SAP Systems > Oracle > Central System > Central System( Last error reported by the step: Java process server0 of instance S00/DVEBMGS00 reached state UNKNOWN after having state STARTING. Giving up.).

Error in log file std_server0.out is:

[Full GC 50146K->50144K(1048448K), 0.2767480 secs]

FATAL: Caught OutOfMemoryError! Node will exit with exit code 666java.lang.OutOfMemoryError: PermGen space

Used JDK:

SAP Java Server VM (build 4.1.026 21.1-b02, Dec  4 2012 00:19:30 - 41_REL - optU - linux amd64 - 6 - bas2:184546 (mixed mode))

Server has free memory:

[root@sapsm ~]# free

total       used       free     shared    buffers     cached

Mem:       8159384    3825704    4333680          0      59244    2163424

-/+ buffers/cache:    1603036    6556348

Swap:     16777212          0   16777212

Any idea, how to fix this problem?

Thanks a lot!

Mitja

Obviously, Java node is running out of memory. You should try increasing the heap size (see note 710146).

Anyway, keep in mind that SolMan 7.01 will be out of maintenance at the end of this year. You may better install SolMan 7.1 instead....

Hi Sladovic,

Please increase the virtual memory twice to physical memory.
