Deployment on J2EE engine not working

Hi experts,

I have imported a webdynpro Java application in my local system and trying to deploy it in J2EE engine residing remotely as VM machine. I am getting an error while deploying the application. It says sdm host is not properly configured.

Moreover, I am not able to open config tool of J2EE engine on VM machine.

Can anyone please suggest me what to do ?

Hi,

          If you installed J2ee Engine locally,you need set the server parameters in NWDS

Goto NWDS---->Windows --->Preferences ---> SAP J2EE Engine

Choose the 2nd option SAP J2EE Engine installed on localhost(Choose browse it will redirct to the your VM)

Please check your DB is running or not,if your DB is stopped you are unable to open config tool.
