Navigation to catalog does not work - SRM 7.0 Portal

Dear Experts

We are having the following versions.

SRM 7.0 and Portal 7.3 and currently we are configuring the PRD system where the Navigation to the catalog (both internal and external) doesn't work for some of the users.

Strange thing is this is happening only in production system and only for few users.

We have checked the notes 1511147,1427561 and 1456162. And made all the IE settings as per the notes. But this doesn't seem to help resolve our issue. 

We tried with clearing the cache etc. but to no avail.

Please help understand the issue and resolution.

Hello Hariprasath,

When user clicks on the catalog link, a new IE window opens up.

This is handled by the launchpad settings.

Please refer to note 1643978.

Also ensure that after following the steps, you have transported the launchpad settings.

You could do that through menu option Launchpad -> Transport.

Additionally please check that the BP ERP Common Parts is not deployed in the portal.

Please note that this iView is needed to launch the catalog.

Refer to notes 1627251 and 1260119.

Hi Hariprasath,

Just for clarification, You said it does not work for certain user that mean when they click on catalog (external or internal) it does not open that catalog and just stay in the SRM screen? Could you please share the screen shot for the same. Also which version of IE those users are using who are able to get catalog and running and those user who don't get catalog running

Herewith I have attached the screenshot for the same.

We have made some investigations on this. I have also updated the same.

Comparison some of the points between two systems in which one system we have the catalog link able to open and in another system catalog link not able to open it from the portal.

Even with the Compatibility still we are not able to access the link

Actually after the PRD config, we have tested more than 10 systems about the access of catalog link. Out of which it is working only in 2 systems. It seems majority of users not able to access this catalog link from the SRM Portal.

Hi Hariprasath,

1.Did u run ST05 Trace ,

2. Also if you can download this on to users machine ,Try running Http trace while accessing Catalog links.This might shed some light if there is any problem in rendering the navigation links.
