what difference between drop shipment and Cross company -Code Sales Process?

actually we are using Sales in cross company ( STO ) in Automotive solution.

in this solution we use t-code BORGR instead of MIGO. have any idea about linking shipment to BORGR?

Hi Jackson ,

In cross company code, as you mentioned, there is possibility that the order receiving company code will not ship the goods. Shipping will happen from the other company code.But not always.

To make it simple

Drop shipment is possible in Cross Company Process but Cross Company process is not a drop shipment process always.

Drop shipment can be used in Cross Company process as well as with the external customers also.

Drop Shipment  - Order receiver will not ship the goods directly to the customer. It will be routed through the vendor.

Cross Company Code - Sales Process between two company codes.

Drop Shipment:  I know order receiver will not ship the goods to the customer.

And Cross Company Code process same as Drop shipment. order receiver don't ship the goods.

I Just don't know what difference both of they?
