CRM_DNO_MONITOR on solution manager 7.1

Hello forum,

that's only a curiosity about a functionality change on new release 7.1 related to operation monitor CRM_DNO_MONITOR of CRM core.

on solution manager 7.01 you can use that transaction as a report tu display all operation of type SLFN/SLF1, etc... on a ALV format, really useful when you need to manage a huge number of crm operations (SLFN) created from service desk.

With the new ITSM functionality, that user SMIN transaction type, the CRM_DNO_MONITOR transaction don't show SMIN operations; with the new ITSM crm webui i can see that operations that aren't display on CRM_DNO_MONITOR.

anyone know something about that ?

Hi,

In Solman 7.1 onwards to align ALM feature, SAP changed the old transaction types (slfn) to the new incident management transaction types ( SMIN)

You cant view the new business object for the transaction type smin on crm_dno_monitor, if you want to see your new messages use CRM_UI or use incident management workcenter after given appropriate auth

The other suggestion is provided to view the old and new messages togeter here

• Use the Incident Management work center to view both old and new transaction types.
  • The work center is the only user interface which SAP offers where both old and new transaction types can be viewed.
  • Otherwise, old transaction types can be viewed in the CRM Transaction  Monitor (transaction CRM_DNO_MONITOR), and new transaction types can be viewed in the CRM UI.

Then:

- Is not possible to see old transaction(SLFN) types on crm webui

- It's not possible to see new transaction types(SMIN) on CRM_DNO_MONITOR

- the only way to see both transaction types are workcenters

That's bad, because for manage a huge number of incident management operations, crm_dno_monitor is a better tool than workcenter; i can't understand sap decision to separate that 2 transaction types.

On that note also are that CRMD_ORDER (which is no longer supported); but on our Solution Manager 7.1 SP5 is still available and functionally for both transaction types.

Anyone know if it's possible to make "customer code" to be able to display SMIN transaction types on CRM_DNO_MONITOR ?

Hi Luis,

SMIN is based on another business object type.. SLFN uses BUS2000116, SMIN instad uses a new type that is much more complex to support the new CRM WebUI features.. that's the only reason for changing the transaction type.

Another SAP objective is to disable step by step the common SAPGui transactions and to push the webbased UIs such as WebDynpro or CRM WebUI.

Therefore, CRMD_ORDER and all the useful transactions around will not be available any longer. This sucks..

I know that it's possible to make SMIN available also in CRM_DNO_MONITOR, but for this purpose you need to invest dev resourcess and need to modify lots of classes and programs (due to the different BUS type).

just found a report for display SMIN transaction types on SAPGUI, like old NOTIF_CREATE
