Material Master - Specification Assignment

Hi All,

I created material specification via Tcode: QS61 for material 66 as likw below:

But in the 'Specification assignment' tab of Material master (Tcode: MM02)

I got the following message while entering the above specification

for the same material. Please help me on this.

I think you are confused between the specification in Material master & Material specification.

Both have different perposes.

1.Material specification is relacement/alternative to Task List.

2. Specification in Material master : entries allowed here are only which are available in f4.

press F1 for more details.
