Posting to Business Area

Dear Friends,

Sales Area in SO - 1100-10-15

Division in material - 17

Business Area determined as per division 17 which is standard system behavior.

Client want Business Area determination according to 15.

Is there any standard setting available in system to achieve the above mentioned objective or any Z development?

Please suggest.

Hi

The below are the rules for business area

001  Business area determination from plant/division (T134G)
002  Business area determination from sales area (TVTA)
003  Business area det. from sales org/dist. channel item div.

Rule 001:

If you assign 001 for corresponding Sales Area then system will pick the Business area based on Plant and Item division ( As per my knowledge it is always Item level)

Rule 002:

If you assign 002 for corresponding Sales Area then system will pick the Business area based on Sales Area ( As per my knowledge it is always Header level)

Rule 003:

If you assign 003 for corresponding Sales Area then system will pick the Business area based on Sales Area ( As per my knowledge Sales Org. and Distribution Channel from Header level and Division consider Item level)

Based on above explination please check your assigment part what is the rule you assigned for your sales area.

Hi,

Assign the same business area to both the divisions.

ie for 15 and 17 maintain same business area.

Hope you wanted to have sales area to be detrmined from Header division instead of Item.Please check the below option before going for any Zdevelopment...Do reply after testing the same.

The option you have suggested is not editable.

I can't make new entries in the same after pressing change - display button.

Why this function is deactivated?

Hi,

This is because of you have put rule 1 in your sales area..Change it to rule-3 then it will work

1..Check define rules by  sales area

2.Assign business area to sales area

Despite of proposed changes, System is populate business area according to division in material master & not in sales document header.
