Error : Product '' deviates from product 000000000XXXXXX in corresponding contract item

Hi Experts,

I am getting following error in shopping cart when I try to bring the item from MDM catalog which is mapped to SRM contract.

Steps to reproduce :

Employee self service -> Shop -> MDM catalog -> Select item which is mapped to SRM contract in MDM -> Check out -> click on check in shopping cart -> Error appears

Line 1 : Product '' deviates from product 00000000XXXXXX in corresponding contract item

can you pls help to resolve the issue.

Hello Ravi,

To resolve your issue, in the SRM SPRO, navigate to the node "Define External Web Services"  using the below path :

SAP Implementation Guide --> SAP Supplier Relationship Management  --> SRM Server --> Master Data -->Content Management --> Define External Web Services

and then select your web service id and navigate to Details by selecting the lens button.

Here make sure that if the check box "Do not check product"  is checked then you have maintained ERP logical system details in the logical system section below.

If you have not maintained the check box then keep the SRM logical system entry here.

You can refer to the SAP Note 1553561 for the same.

Issue has been resolved by changing the logical system from CATALOG to ERP logical system.

Thanks for your reply.

This Note is applicable for SRM 7.0 and 7.01. Our system is configured with SRM 7.02. this is not applicable for our system.
