Random Inspection of stock

Hi All,

We have requirement as follows :

Suppose we are having FGI material stock i unrestricted use. Now we want to perform inspection for some of the quantity from stock. This activity do not have any fixed schedule. we can do this after every two days or may be once in a month.

So please guide us to map this in SAP.

Which inspection type we should use ?

HI

For FINISH GOOD inspection use insp type 10 . Enter insp type 10 in quality managment view of material master for specific material.

You have to do some config for this iin SPRO--> Quality management--> Insp lot creation--> Inspection at shipping--> Assign Inspection Lot Origin to Delivery Type--> enter insp type to del type LF.

Check VOV6 whether relevant mvt type is active 651 or 655.

we are not moving stock anywhere..

It's just quality testing for those stock which is laying in storage location.

Hi Jd ,

Create manual lot(QA01) . Also you can create first physical sample manually and then create a lot from it . Otherwise creating lot manually will also work .

There are 2 options.

1. Without Goods Movement - Create Inspection Lot in QA01. Maintain Inspection Plan with Universal as usage. Based on that Inspection Lot, you can proceed with the Inspection.
   • Here, no stock control if you want to block some stock.
2. With Goods Movement - Maintain Inspection Plan with Material Check as usage. You can do the stock transfer from unrestricted use to quality inspection stock & based on that, Inspection lot will be created. With that, you can proceed with inspection.
   • Here, you have stock in quality inspection stock & with that you can have control.

You can try this-

Activate Inspection Type 08 in Material Master.

Do Stock posting from Unresricted use stock to Quality stock by using mov. type 322 & Tcode MB1B/MIGO after 2 days or 1 months.

When you do stock posting, Inspection lot generated. Here you can perform Inspection against this Inspection lot.
