Hi,
By using Production planning Run in APO PP/DS
1.Multiple locations and multiple products planning can be done?
2.What are planning file entries and when they will be created?
Can anyone explain me in detail
Thanks in advance

Dear,
.Multiple locations and multiple products planning can be done
Yes it can be done you can take multiple locations and multiple products planning by /SAPAPO/CDPSB0 - Production Planning Run
Here select Planning Object as 4 Product and then enter your Products and location selection screen.
.What are planning file entries and when they will be created?
Planning file entries are written to implement net change planning.In net change planning, only the products that have undergone a planning-relevant change since the last production planning run and therefore received a planning file entry are planned
Net change planning in APO-PPDS can be carried out with the production planning run (transaction /SAPAPO/CDPSB0) by setting the indicator 'With planning file entry' in the selection screen for the product selection of the individual processing steps.Then only those that have a PPDS planning file entry are selected when products are selected.
APO generates a planning file entry for a product if a planning-relevant event occurs for the product, for which the system is to carry out the action 'Generate planning file entry' in line with the PP planning procedure.The PP planning procedure is stored in the product master (PPDS tab) and defined in Customizing.
Planning file entries can be displayed and changed using transaction /SAPAPO/RRP_NETCH 'Display planning file entries'
Create planning file entry heuristics customization settings "SAP_PP_002", in this heuristics "create planning file entry for components"
if the MRP heuristic SAP_MRP_001 is used for scheduling. This heuristic reads the planning file entries for the products to be planned from the database.
Hope clear to you.

Why not? Of course you can perform planning for multiple location and multiple products. e.g. you can do this in trasaction /SAPAPO/CDPSB0 (production planning run). In the 1st step, usually you should determine the low level code with heuristic SAP_PP_020, then in the next step, you can run service heuristic e.g. SAP_MRP_001 to plan all your seleted locations and products.
Planning file entry is just the entry for a product for planning with a procurement planning heuristic in the production planning run. As to when the planning file entry can be created, it's customized in the planning procedure:
SPRO -> Advanced Planning and Optimization
-> Supply Chain Planning
-> Production Planning and Detailed Scheduling (PP/DS)
-> Maintain Planning Procedures
In your planning procedure, "Reaction to Events", for different event, you can set action to be "create planning file entries" or others.
