After shutdown server directly MAXDB is not starting

Hi,

Due to some power problem we have shutdown our server directly but after that when we try to start SAP it is not coming UP. and the Reason is MAXDB is not starting.

I tried this also.

Error! Connection failed to node mmsr21 for database ES5:

-24700,ERR_DBMSRV_NOSTART: Could not start DBM server.

-24832,ERR_SHMNOTAVAILABLE: Shared memory not available

-24686,ERR_SHMNOCLEANUP: Could not cleanup the DBM server Shared Memory

-24606,ERR_SHMSO: Start address 0X72702E6D627A5D47 for linetype 0 out of scope

Hello Rableen,

1. As SAP customer you could create the SAP message and get SAP support.

2. The database version 7.6.03   Build 009 is quit old.

• Feature List SAP liveCache Technology 7.6.0: SAP Note 806690
• Please check first that there are NO active dbmsrv processes on the DB server,

close DBMGUI and stop x_server., on mmsr21 for database ES5

In order to solve the issue please rename the following files

  ES5.dbm.shi  -> ES5.dbm.shi.old
ES5.dbm.shm -> ES5.dbm.shm.old

which are located in <drive>:\sapdb\data\wrk.

After that run:

C:\Users\es5adm>dbmcli -U c db_online

and update with output.
