Vendor Wise Authorization Restriction

Hi Friends

We are in the process of Role creation with high level security for vendor wise authorization restriction on few Transcation codes like F.44, MIR6,MIR7,MIRO.we are tried to find Authorization objects in SU24 but its not found for Vendor wise. Kindly suggest and help us. Please find the sample scenario.

For User ID , SDUSER – he is authorize to create, change and display  only for the Vendor No Range from 150000 to 150999

For User ID , MMUSER – he is authorize to create, change and display only for the Vendor No Range from 110000 to 110999.

You will have more luck trying to convert your vendors from business partners, as often it is such fields which you want to restrict to. You might have a bit more luck from the MM side as well (you seem to have the number ranges split by module?).

Within FI views you will however not be able to restrict it effectively. Also the search helps traditionally do not restrict the ability to select the vendor, it is only the processing of the data which will react to missing authorization. (in some higher EhPs this is however improved with a new mechanism for BAPI-search-helps)

So you will have to group them by something other than the vendor number range value.

Most likely this will require some "much too clever" master data maintenance, but you can possibly do it if you explain your requirement more exactly.
