Hello,
In the past, I did not import all support packages at the same time.
I started by BASIS, then I imported ABA, ...
In my Solman, I have SPAM version 7.01/47.
When I run: Queue -> Display -> Define -> SAP_BASIS,
it proposes a list with SAP_BASIS, SAP_ABA, SAP_AP, PI_BASIS, SAP_BW, ...
I was expecting a list with SAP_BASIS only as there is no prerequisite for this component.
Is there a way, with SPAM version 47, to define a queue with only Basis Support Packages?
Thanks in advance for your answer.
I think you are doing Individual Queue selection. Click on All Components (Queue -> Display/Define) and only define Basis SPs

Hi Schmid,
As said earlier, it seems that it not possible to upgrade only BASIS alone. Reason is a certain level of BASIS Patch requires certain level of ABAP patch and its dependencies.
It is a chain dependicines. BASIS on ABAP, ABAP on APPL and so on .
So Please try to upgrade the corresponding patches as well.
Thanks and Regards,
Vimal
Hello Maria,
As explained earlier, the chain is in one way.
SAP_ABA needs a minimum level for SAP_BASIS.
The requirements can be seen in SPAM.
Clearly, If I put only BASIS SP only in my EPS/in,
whithout anay ABA SP SPAM would allow me to proceed.
As far as I know, SAP as not announced that there are new limitations
even if there is a new SPAM behavior.
The reason for my post is to find out how I can proceed to import only BASIS
and not how to proceed to import several components at the same time.
If I would like to buy a blue car that exists.
Answering it seems that blue cars do not exists is not very useful.
If you have an url that explains SAP new requirements for SPAM import,
I would proceed as you say.

Hi,
As far as I know, it is not possible to import only BASIS SP. you can import only BASIS to a certain level. AFter that , there will be many dependencies. That is the reason you are seeing all these SP's when you select the maximum BASIS SP level.
So I would suggest you to import the dependent support packs as well .
Thanks and Regards,
Vimal

Hello,
I do not understand what you mean because SAP_BASIS does not requires/depends
on SAP_ABA.
Only SAP_ABA requires a level of SAP_BASIS but there is no dependencies in the other way.
This is why I could import BASIS only in my past support packages,
What do you mean by "you can can import only BASIS to a certain level"?
