Send PDF via SMTP in SAP

Hi Basis Expert,

We have configured SMTP in one of our Development ECC 6.0 System and the mails are going fine from SAP to external email id.

Now the Functional MM Team approches to us and tells that they are not able send an PDF via SMTP (eg: the purchase order

If anyone knows, please give us the valuable suggestions/inputs

Well, not much info here... are the mails been sent with the wrong format?.. or they are not getting to SOST at all?...

You could check your SMTP node settings... it should look like this

In our ECC 6.0 Devlopment the Output Formats for SAP Documents is as follows

SAPScript/Smart Forms - PDF

Abap List - HTM

Business Object/List - HTM

RAW Test - TXT

If the mail is not hitting SOST then it might be just a funtional issue.

Hi Juan,

In SOST when we checked we are only getting the Subject line in the document title and this is coming to the email. But the PO is not coming in  pdf format to the email id.

If the PO is not been attached to the mail or the mail is not been configured properly, its not a Basis issue is a funtional problem. You might want to advice your funtional team to get help from an ABAPer.

Hi, please ask your technical/functional team to check program code and logic. This does not seem to be issue with SOST.
