Nevin
Hi Nevin,
If I understood your requirement correctly, you have One Manager XYZ responsible for two different Company codes.
We cannot place one manager physically under 2 Org structures.
However the workarounds are:-
Hope this would be helpful.
1. NEXT ORGANIZATIONAL UNIT attribute
Please tell whether the monetary Role of the manager in both the org structure is same or different. Manager with lower role or higher role.
If manager is having different monetary role, in one org structure higher role and another lower role or same, then you can use this Attribute
NEXT ORGANIZATIONAL UNIT at the Node level and not user level.
You can place the manager at one of the Org structre prefereably where it has highest role.
In another Org strucuture you can create a blank node for that manager department and just one level below that
manager in the org structure (PPOMA approach) you can use this NEXT ORG Unit attribute to call the Manager placed in another org structure. You just need to pass the ORG ID of the manager (actually placed in another org structure) where it is placed in the above case.
The above case checks for the value and other configuration and if all conditions passes to trigger the required manager then only triggers the missing manager and fetches from the other ORG structure
2. ADHOC approver
If the above option does not work then only possiblity is to place the manager in one of the ORG structure and let another ORG structure manually add the missing approver as ADHOC approver.
Thank you
