ORA-03113: end-of-file on communication channel

HI everyone,

recently i installed SAP ECC EHP5 its installed successfully and i logged in also. but after 2 days the database automatically got shutdown,when i was trying to start manually from command prompt i got the error like blow.plz find the error and help me to come out from this problem.

my database version Oracle 11.2.3.0

Hi everyone thanks  for your support i got resolved the issue and problem with permission for SIDadm user so i gave full permissions to  sidadm user then i can start the oracle and sap application

Hi Raju,

Can u check the oracle alert log file ALERT_<SID>.log at this location /oracle/<SID>/saptrace/background.

We can check for oracle related errors here. Please provide us with error snapshot of alert log file.

Hi Raju,

please do the following checks:

  • Check the Oracle status and Try to start, if it is not started check InitSID.ora log.
  • check the Oracle services & Listener also check the R3trans -d.
  • Ping the hostname and make sure that server IP resolvable by hostname
  • All Oracle services and sapservices should be start automatically if the server is in windows.
  • Please paste error info from initSID.ora log if the Oracle is not started. Mark it as helpful if my analysis helps you...
