Difference Dictionary Meta Data & Application Data (JCO).

Hi SAP gurus.

I am creating JCO but it begs the question. In the step 3 "Connection Type" I have two options "Dictionary Meta Data & Application Data".

What is the difference between them? I don't know which to choose.

Best regards,

Victor Pale.

SAP recommends creating 2 JCO Destinations-

- 1 for Metadata (e.g. information of fields in a BAPI Table)

- 1 for Application Data (e.g. actual data like records of a table exposed by the BAPI)

For WebDynpro Java Development, you need to create both.

Go through the following links for more clarity.

This is a very old concept, you will get more than enough info if ya google it or search on SCN.
