Insert into Historian server

Hi Friends,

Does all Historain servers allow us to  insert data into database ?  I have requirement to develop a user screen with 10 fields and once user clicks submit button it has to update  historain server.  I have to consider these manual entries also from web page while populating live data  from historian server on live dashboards.

can any one suggest what should be the best way to accomplish this requirement and  best scripting to be used .

Who is your Historian vendor in your landscape ?? OSI PI ..or ??

There are multiple ways to connect OSI PI using MII/PCO  using PI SDK and OLEDB connection.

If you have OLEDB connection to your PI ,you write queries like SQL  rather creating TAG queries in MII.
