How to customize a standard WD4A build using OVP FPM

I have a requirement to customize the standard ESS application by adding a text view and an URL.

standard ESS application: HRESS_A_REP_US_ONLINE_W2

Package             : PAOC_ESS_PER_US

It is built using OVP - overview page floorplan.

With my limited knowledge in FPM, I am planning to do a Context Based Adaptations (CBA).

To my surpise the following views are missing in my system.

Txn: SM30

FPM_V_ADAPT_SCHM    View for adaptation schema

FPM_V_ADAPT_DIM    View for dimension

Current system: ECC 6.0 EHP5 SP11 Netweaver 7.0.2

Please let us know if I am missing something OR is there another way to customize the standard application?

I just learnt that Context Based Adaptations (CBA) are available only from NW EHP3  and above. Since we are running Nw 7.0.2 meaning NW 7.0 EHP2 CBA is not an optional.

       Exploring the other options to customize the standard WD4A application using OVP FPM. Please keep us posted with your thoughts.Thanks.

Hello Pirama,

you are right - the Context Based Adaptations are available from NW 7.03 onwards.

What you could do is a customizing on top of the respective component configuration.
