Hi Meenachi,
Generally all the file which you want to store in application server are stored in the file directory ( AL 11).
To upload image you can go with two procedure.
1. get the x string content of the image using UI element 'File Upload' and store it in any application server path. This is a general approach and using this you can upload any type of filse not only image.
2. use MIMES repository and upload image file there to use it directlt in your application. Using this you can upload & use style sheets, graphics, icons etc.
