How to deploy ear file through CTS+?

Hi All,

I am trying to use CTS+ for deploying different files from development portal systems to production systems.

I was successful in deploying par,epa,configarchive files but not ear.

Actually I do not have any idea about deploying ear through CTS+.

Can u guys please guide me on this?

I was successfulin deploying ear file through CTS+.

What we need to do is as follows:

1. Create an epa package with the required iviews,pages,etc. from the portal where the development has taken place.

2. Click on Export where dropdown shows CTS+.(Export through CTS+)

3. Now the transport is created and we can see the transport in CTS+ portal.

4. On CTS+ portal,we get an option to attach  where we can attach the ear file or any other file for tht matter.

5. Now our ear file is attached with the epa package.

6. Click on Release and done.

I just tried this and it worked and think this is a fullproof solution.

Hi Deep,

This is quite an old post now, however did you import it to target?

I am unable to Import a TR with .ear object attached to PRD.

I get the error "Deploy proxy server not running or Web service not installed"

SDM is up and running, DeployProxy service is active and RFC CTSDEPLOY is Ok,

SDM Port 18 also connecting from Solution Manager.

Any thoughts?

I was facing an issue deploying ear file .I just followed the below steps and it worked fine.

This is was also able to do.

After this, you have to import right?

Did you import? I dont see you mentioning about import anywhere.

I have also released successfully, but failing at import.

Yes I was able to import .

You can check the correction where the transport is created. It will give the error description there.

as far as i remember it right.... CTS+ was used for Portal transports. NWDI for Java developments like DCs etc.
