hi,
my requirement is like this,
i create 3 material classifications for local sales with 3 tax codes. i maintained all settings, 3 settings coming for customer and material for tax indicators,
but in sales order it is showing, zero for both classifications, both taxable.
one more doubt, can i calculate sales tax in pricing without excise duties????
aim of requirement:
want to determine, sales taxes based on 3 condtion records, for 3 materials with 3 taxcode percentages????
warm regards,
jagadeesh kumar
jagadeesh,
For your query:
sales order it is showing, zero for both classifications, both taxable.
Apart from tax classification configuration. The tax condition type uses particular fields in condition for access sequence plays a vital roles in maintaining condition record maintenance and subsequent determination in sales order.
Please follow my post in the following discussion, where similar kind of requirement is discussed.
If you have any further concern, do revert back.

HI JP,
i have created 3 access seq for 3 vat conditions based on 3 materials, but 2 classification not picking, i dont know, it was showing respective indicators in pricing anlysis, those are inactive yello colour.
if i maintain one access seq, it is picking all conditions for each material, but my req is it has to pick only on vat condtion based on material.
warm reagards,
jagadeesh
See, what I have suggested in that discussion is:
Sequence of TAX condition type as maintain in OVK1 | VAT Condition Type | Customer Tax classification Fields | Material Tax classification Fields | Condition Table required | Current State of Your Condition Table |
---|---|---|---|---|---|
1. | ZVA1 | TaxCl1Cust (field TAXK1) | TaxCl1Material (field TAXM1) | Country/PlantRegion/Region/TaxCl1Cust/TaxCl1Material | Country/PlantRegion/Region/TaxCl1Cust/TaxCl1Material |
2. | ZVA2 | TaxCl1Cust (field TAXK2) | TaxCl1Material (field TAXM2) | Country/PlantRegion/Region/TaxCl2Cust/TaxCl2Material | Country/PlantRegion/Region/TaxCl1Cust/TaxCl1Material |
3. | ZVA3 | TaxCl1Cust (field TAXK3) | TaxCl1Material (field TAXM3) | Country/PlantRegion/Region/TaxCl3Cust/TaxCl3Material | Country/PlantRegion/Region/TaxCl1Cust/TaxCl1Material |
So, might need to relook at your access(V/03) for the vat condition.
Regards, JP
i already maintained,
as below:
condition type:
AA1 1(LIABLE FOR TAX)
AA1 2(no tax)
BB1 3(liable)
BB1 4(NO TAX)
CC1 5(LIABLE)
CC1 6(NO TAX)
IN ACCESS SEQ:
country/pltregion/region/taxcl5Cust/taxcl.5mat
country/pltregion/region/taxcl7Cust/taxcl.7mat
country/pltregion/region/taxcl8Cust/taxcl.8mat
with or without exclusion, i have checked.
but picking only first access seq for 2nd product
not picking 1 and 3 products.
but picking first combination for all products.
have maintained proper tax indicators accordingly, i dont know, help me on this
analysis, taclassifiation 7 and 8 are showing yellow.
warm regards,
jagadeesh
Can you confirm?
IN ACCESS SEQ:
country/pltregion/region/taxcl5Cust/taxcl.5mat
country/pltregion/region/taxcl7Cust/taxcl.7mat
country/pltregion/region/taxcl8Cust/taxcl.8mat
The access sequence is for one VAT condition type
- country/pltregion/region/taxcl5Cust/taxcl.5mat
- country/pltregion/region/taxcl7Cust/taxcl.7mat
- country/pltregion/region/taxcl8Cust/taxcl.8mat
Or for individual VAT condition
Access sequence for ZVA1
- country/pltregion/region/taxcl5Cust/taxcl.5mat
Access sequence for ZVA2
- country/pltregion/region/taxcl7Cust/taxcl.7mat
Access sequence for ZVA3
- country/pltregion/region/taxcl8Cust/taxcl.8mat
Regards, JP
hi jp,
i have taken 3 vat condtion types, with one access seq having above 3 combinations, based on access seq zva1,zva2 and zva3 and has to be determined, based on material classification condition type has to be determined.
The access sequence is for one VAT condition type
- country/pltregion/region/taxcl5Cust/taxcl.5mat
- country/pltregion/region/taxcl7Cust/taxcl.7mat
- country/pltregion/region/taxcl8Cust/taxcl.8mat
above access for aa1,bb1,cc1 condtion types
warm regards,
jagadeesh
Based on my understanding, I would suggest.
OVK1
Country-Sequence Condition Type
IN - 5 - AA1
Country | Sequence | Condition Type |
---|---|---|
IN | 5 | AA1 |
IN | 7 | BB1 |
IN | 8 | CC1 |
OVK3 - Customer Tax classification
Tax Cond Type | Tax Type |
---|---|
AA1 | 1(LIABLE FOR TAX) |
AA1 | 2(NO TAX) |
BB1 | 1(LIABLE FOR TAX) |
BB1 | 2(NO TAX) |
CC1 | 1(LIABLE FOR TAX) |
CC1 | 2(NO TAX) |
OVK4 - Material Tax classification
Tax Cond Type | Tax Type |
---|---|
AA1 | 1(TAXABLE) |
AA1 | 2(NO TAX) |
BB1 | 1(TAXABLE) |
BB1 | 2(NO TAX) |
CC1 | 1(TAXABLE) |
CC1 | 2(NO TAX) |
Your access sequence ought to be:
Access sequence ZAA1 for AA1
- country/pltregion/region/taxcl5Cust/taxcl.5mat
Access sequence ZBB1 for BB1
- country/pltregion/region/taxcl7Cust/taxcl.7mat
Access sequence ZCC1 for CC1
- country/pltregion/region/taxcl8Cust/taxcl.8mat
Accordingly, maintain condition record.

hi siva,
3 tax codes are dummy tax codes, my tax procedure is condition based TAXINN, created tax records with 3 tax codes for 3 materials. my issue is conditions are not determined in my pricing procedure. taxclassification for both it was showing 0 and 0 for both material and customer classifications. how can i take forward it to determine tax conditions based on classifications.
additonal info:
tax category: OVK3---AA1----1-LIABLE FOR TAX
AA1----2-NO TAX
similary for both BB1 AND BB2 AND CC1 AND CC2.
OVK4 also same,
OVK1 also rightm
plant also same for both customer and material.
i don't know, one doubt, excise duties are mandatory??? for calculating sales tax? i dnot think so, any how i wanted to calculate sales tax on net price.
warm regards,
jagadiish.
