Hi Gurus,

In CIN process, supplying plant send 10 materials with excise Invoice of 10 materials, and receiving plant received 8 materials only, then receiving plant how much quantity of excise Invoice will capture?

Hi Das,

If only 8 materials are received and your excise invoice shows 10, it means there is inconsistency. Whatever physically you received, same need to be mentioned in paper. In that case vendor need to correct excise invoice.

In case if materials are damaged, then there are multiple ways of capturing them in excise. You can receive 10 and post 10, then create returns PO for 2, capture and post them in excise. Otherwise, you can return 2 and capture and post in excise, There are multiple ways, it altogather depends on your customer, how they want to handle it.

Receiving plant should capture excise for actual received qty, that is, 8 qty.

What ever actual quantity received against excise invoice in receiving plant need to be posted in excise registers. however your physical quantity should match on paper quantity. By the way what abt remaining two quantity? are you expecting it at later stage or it is damaged or returned? based on each answer to my question, scenario will differ.

Hi,

At MIGO level item quantity we can change the receiving quantity for the receiving quantity only excise values have to capture.

In ur case for 8 quantity only system will capture excise values automatically.
