SAP NW 7.3 Installation error at phase 30 - HeapDumpOnOutOfMemoryError

Hi Experts,

I was trying to install NW 7.3 in my local system.

System Details:

> 8 GB Ram & Total Paging  28582 MB (in C drive & D drive given system managed)

> 64 bit ,core i7-2760QM, Windows 7 Professional

During the 30th step,it is taking long time. Showing message in status bar as : offline deployment

When I check the server node, it is become yellow. after few min it is showing error : 666: HeapDumpOnOutOfMemoryError

I have tryed by changing the values through config toll:

> Classpath_resolver >javac.xmx = 512 (previously it was 0 )

> Cluster_config>globels>clusternode_config>workernode>jvm_parameters>propertysheet memory>2048

cleared the work directory in config toll and restarted(during installation).

Still it is not success.after couple of hours, getting the same error.

Can anyone have any idea to fix this?

Hi Ram,

To enable further analysis on the issue, request you download memory analyzer to analyze those heap dumps. This will help you to identify processes where heap memory is being used. Kill those unwanted processes and repeat installation. It should help.

Hi Ram,

As per Log this problem might be due to Paging memory. Automatically managed paging file size is not recommended for installation. please go through the note see SAP Note 1518419.
