Error 13 on startup

Hi,

We are using MI 2.5 sp14.

When starting MI on client PC only a few devices give this "error 13" popup and do not start. this only happens when users are logged in with thier own limited user ID. When Admin logs is it works OK.

In the log we are seeing the following

FATA: java.net.SocketException: Unrecognized Windows Socket error: 10106: create

Any idea?

Hi Ezatullah,

     I think SystemRoot environment variable is missing in your system.
     Go to the environment variables section of your system properties (System)
     in Control Panel.
     Click the "Advanced" tab.
     Click "Environment Variables".
     In the "System variables" section add a new entry:

     SystemRoot=<path to your Windows installation directory>

     For example, on my Windows XP machine, I installed XP to c:windows
     (the default). So, my setting would be:

      SystemRoot=c:windows

     Typically, this setting is in effect on all Windows systems. 
     For some reason, it might get removed or overwritten
 
    I think it should solve the problem.
