Upgrade BI 7.3 (ABAP/JAVA)- Doubts

Hi
We are planning upgrade fo BI 7.0 to BI7.3, but our BI system has some dependencies

ABAP (windows -SQL)
BI 7.0 SP23: this has SPM, MDM addons

JAVA (windows -SQL)
PORTAL 7.0 SP23: This has BIJAVA, SPM/MDM addons, ESS/MSS and its UME is BI ABAP

It is complicated to upgrade this system becuase of its dependencies, do you know or have any

useful idea to do an upgrade of BI? what about the other addons? which release of solution Manager

do I need?, I guess also Portal has to be upgraded.

I will appreciate your help

Hi,

Since you have couple of add-on's installed on your BI system, so, before upgrading it to 7.3 level, you should check SAP note 1532805 to check compatibility of add-on's on NW 7.3. so, based on that either you need to upgrade the add-on's or you can keep the same version.

Also, yes portal should be upgraded. Please check below link:
