Dear all,
I have got a requirement to develop a Login Screen using WD4A to check the user's Windows password in ESS portal, to display confidential information like Payslip. While all other application like Leave application, Maintain employee's own personal data...etc are using SSO. I knew that Webdynpro for Java has an API for UM Factory to get user's password, but not sure if there is one for Webdynpro ABAP.
And so does anyone knows how it is done in WD4A ?
Thanks a lot !

There is an API for checking user's password in ABAP but it will check the password stored in the ABAP stack. Unless you are synchronizing passwords between your Windows domain and the ABAP backend, that approach won't help you.
Another option is to make the WD4A application authenticate directly to your IDM assuming it can support Web Services.

Yes you can check your Windows password like @Samuli Kaski
or you can use SmartKey Windows Password Recovery
