Display problem for SAPGUI transcation via SSO or ITS

Hi

We have configured SSO between SAP Portal 7.30 and SAP ERP server (ECC 6.0). SSo configuration is working fine by using the following step (It is described in one of SDN form):

system administration->support->sap application-> under test and configuration tools -> choose sap transaction

under the mandatory fields choose the system that you have created, choose a tcode (se16) and choose "sap gui for windows" and click go.

If you are able to logon to your ecc system, your sso works!

Now, if i'm executing the ERP transaction in Portal using "sap gui for HTTP", i'm getting the blank screen in Portal server. I'm getting the menu option of the

transaction, but not the display. example is like if i execute STMS in Portal server, i'm getting menu options but not the STMS screen. Pls check the screenshot in attachment.

Following has been checked:

-- There is no internet explorer issue. In our test server, this is working fine.

-- ITS services are active.

Seems to me, Portal is not translating the Screen to HTML.

Pls suggest to fix this issue.

Thanks

Amar

Hi Amar,

Is it just for transaction: "STMS"?

What are the results of testing with SM04 for example?

Try executing the ERP transaction SM04 in Portal using "SAP GUI for HTML"? (i.e the WEBGUI Service)

What are the results of testing the WEBGUI service directly from SICF? Bypassing the portal.

If you add the parameter ~transaction=stms to the end of WEBGUI url does it launch? i.e

http://<my host>: <my http port no>/sap/bc/gui/sap/its/webgui?transaction=stms

Thanks for your reply, Oisin

Problem is with all tcodes. I think, this is related to kernel issue. Recently, we upgraded Support pack in all server except one sandbox server. I have not seen same problem in sandbox server but all other servers, where we upgraded support pack, we are getting the error.

As per oss note 1738991, we need to upgrade the kernel to level 310 to fix this problem. Right now, we are on 300.

I have not upgraded the kernel yet to fix this problem as i'm looking for approval.

Will update you once i upgrade and test the new kernel.

Thanks

Amar
