Hello Experts
We are facing performance issues while writing to CDHDR and CDPOS. A few custom programs that update MARA and MARC are scheduled to run at the same time (we cannot re-schedule them for several reasons) and change logging is turned on for the fields that get updated thru these programs. This creates change log entries in CDHDR and CDPOS and since several programs try to access and write to these tables at the same time , it takes a few minutes for even a single record insert (into CDHDR and CDPOS) . This causes the programs to run way longer than usual.
Any ideas on how this issue can be solved ?
Thanks
Aparna
Hi Aparna,
Few things can be done for this;
- Indexing of the tables used can be done.
- Controling the custom programs by a selection screen to control no. of records to be updated in a go, can help improving performance.
Try these things and let me know if it helps.

Try to pass more filter on selection screen to reduce execution time and accurate data.
