Hello experts,

I am having trouble with all my scheduled background jobs. Something is causing a massive delay. How do i isolate the main cause of the delay? Any help would much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Hi Brijesh,

Please check the current value for the profile parameter rdisp/btctime. Default vaule is 60. This profile parameter determines start Interval for Background Scheduler.

A bigger value will lead to delay in background job.

Hi

Can you pelase share the SM50 screen with BGD WP's in list for each application server.

May be there are lots of BGD jobs defined and queued.

Thank you for your reply. I checked SM50 there are a lot of DIA and BGD running but they disappear from SM50 almost immediately.

Hi Don,

Please check operation mode settings in RZ04 and see if you have got the right work process allocations in place. Check RZ03 as well and see if you get a 'work process differ' message there. Also, worth checking at OS level the status of the work process using dpmon.

Thanks.
