Hi All,
I have ben working in Ariba since 5years.
Most of the clients with whom I have worked have swtiched to SAP SRM.
I have thoughts to switch to SAP SRM as market for Ariba jobs seem to be very rare (in India atleast).
I would like to take advice from people on this forum.
If you think I should take this , please guide on how I can start up with (Ex: Learn SAP ABAP,docs on SAP SRM ....).
(I have attended a week bootcamp on SAP SRM , seems to duplicate of Ariba functionality)
Thanks,
Sourabh
While since now SAP has bought Ariba, Definetly worth a shot and i have known my friends in the past who shifted and migrated smoothly.
well all procurement erp products would look like a copy of each other.
Good Luck
Cheers

Hi Sourabh,
It is better to have knowledge of both the procurement tools.
Both the tools are used for same purpose but in slightly different manner.
It will be very easy for you to learn SAP SRM since you already know all the basic processes in SRM & SCM.
To learn, you should start with -
1. Basics of SRM
2. SRM 210 document
3. SRM 270 document
4. Little knowledge on MM process ERP
This will be more than sufficient to know and rest comes with on the job projects.
Thanks.
From RBEI,
Snehal
